THE MINISTRY UNDER THE TENT
(Preached on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 evening in Yopougon-Koweit, Abidjan - Ivory Coast)
Recently, I was in village and I learnt that for the first time, they envisaged sewing uniforms to celebrate the song of the angels which had taken place over there… It is a very old well known song which says: "Hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah! Jesus saved me... Jesus loves me I know it, He looked for and found me, his power redeemed me, He gave me Salvation! Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah! ". There is no man or woman of the twelve Abidji villages who does not know that the angels sang over there…[Ed: “Abidji”: the ethnic group Brother Philip belongs to]
Now, I would like to say that as far as sex sin is concerned, when a brother have finished purging his punishment outside and that he comes back without the girl, the congregation will not be able to pray for him and if he had or should have a responsibility, he will not be able to hold anything over at least three years. But he is a brother and will confess for the other things.
I also wish to come back to the preaching: "the Cloud which sets things". During that preaching, I had said: "if a brother is in the number of the four brothers or preachers who work with the four brothers and that he is excommunicated, he will not be able to get within them anymore…". But while transcribing, I gave my agreement to the brothers so that the word "within" might be replaced by the word "group" to facilitate the understanding but I come back to ask that the word "within" may be put back to its stead. These four brothers are within the Church. They are neither above the Church nor a group in the Church and God has never been in group’s spirit. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen! "]. They chose brother Bitty as their head. But brother Kadio who was chosen as their spokesman will not be able to hold this responsibility because a sister prostituted herself being in his house to the point that she is now pregnant. As far brother Bitty is concerned, I decided that after having led the assemblies of Adjamé, Koweit and Anyama, he may no longer be pastor from March 7th when he gives in the assembly of Abobo to somebody else.
Well, before starting the preaching, know that we have a wonderful brother named Arnaud Lafranchi in Geneva in Switzerland and another brother named Cyril Bitsene in Rennes in France and now another one in DRC, brother Mutanda. And apart from them, there are several good reactions all over the world! Brother Arnaud let me know that he sent the green book to a family in Lima, in Peru and I also received from him the map of Geneva to prepare already my journey in Switzerland. May God bless him but in addition to the map, I shall need a guide at the airport! In addition to the Bible, we need a prophet don’t we? [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. With the map, I can go wrong but with the guide, it is impossible that I go wrong. And I do not even want a guide who knows how to read maps but a guide who knows Geneva! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. May our children and our grand-children love prophets as Jews and us. Have as foundation of your faith: Hosea 12:14 and 2 Chr.20:20 and love listening to what a prophet says. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
Well, this evening I wish to preach on the subject: "the ministry under the tent ". It is not a subject which dates from William Branham but an old subject which simply changed name in the evening time. Before William Branham, this vision appeared at first in the ministries of Moses and Elijah in the Old Testament.
For our time, everything started from December, 1955 when William Branham had this vision of the tent in relation with the third Pull and the unknown language. William Branham said in the seventh seal, paragraph 299: …[Ed: Brother Philip reads in the seventh seal …“And just then He picked me up. And He took me up and set me way up high to where a meeting was going on, looked like a tent or a cathedral of some sort. And I looked, and there was a little box-like, little place over in the side. And I seen that Light was talking to somebody above me, that Light that you see there on the picture. It whirled away from me, like that, and went over to that tent, and said, "I'll meet you there." And said, "This will be the third pull…", And there's three great things that goes with it, and one unfolded today, or yesterday, the other one unfolded today, and there's one thing that I cannot interpret, because it's in an unknown language.”]
You see? Simply at the time when William Branham comes back in 1993, under a new name and under another appearance for the ministry under the tent behind the unknown language, his own seed is sitting in cathedrals in the example of the Branham Tabernacle as we see it clearly in the preaching on Dan 11. And the branhamists of the whole world go to pilgrimage over there... Whereas a tent is the lowest residence to be. And this small construction, this box of Locodjro, on the side of the road, is the example. William Branham said: "there was a little box-like, little place over in the side [of the road]. And I seen that Light was talking to somebody above me ". [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. And before I see it in 1997, I saw this small construction in a dream in 1993. And I heard words inside …
And since 1955, year after year, until his death, William Branham did not stop returning on this vision. It is a mysterious vision which marked him and which marked all those who believed in him. And if William Branham was not early buried, it is because of this vision which showed clearly a work to come. And nobody can doubt that this vision shows a work to come. You see? William Branham died on December 24, 1965. The funeral service took place on December 29, 1965 hoping that William Branham would resuscitate on that December 29 but the resurrection not having taken place, the body was not buried. And instead of having the courage to announce that, they persuaded that Meda had not chosen the place of the burial yet. A Christian does not lie! You see? And the body was maintained and kept up to Easter 1966 so that William Branham resuscitates the day of Easter, as the Lord. And it was said that immense fortunes were spent on the maintenance of the body in a time when science was not developed as today. They even made go round the rumour according to which the doctor would have said that William Branham's bones would have been already reconstituted. Why all that? Because of the ministry under the tent! And William Branham not being resuscitated on April 10, 1966, the Easter day, his body was buried the day after Easter that is to say on April 11, 1966 and even there, in the presence of Ewald Frank and of all the leading heads of the branhamist world, the hymn "Only believe" was sung during two hours in the hope of a resurrection with the aim of the ministry under the tent. Ewald Frank also sang Only Believe for two hours for the resurrection of Branham! [Ed: the congregation says: "Amen!"]. I do not like hypocrites and traitors! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
Why all that? Because God promised a phase of ministry to William Branham, a phase called ministry under the tent which remained a prophecy. Yet William Branham, since 1933, drained large crowds in the fulfillment of the first two pulls with big public shows of power. But all those who believed in him knew that a day would come, according to this vision of December 1955, a certain ministry under the tent where God would deal with him in a different way, without public show. William Branham says in a preaching of 1956, entitled… [Ed: Brother Philip reads paragraphs 32 and 33 of the sermon: why are people so tossed about? Preached on 01.01.1956 … "I seen that Light leave me, and go to that building, and go in that building; and a Voice said to me, "I'll meet you in there; that'll be the third pull." I said, "Why?"He said, "Well, it won't be a public show like the other. And I came to…"] [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. You see? He says that this third Pull will come behind an unknown language, far from the public shows! Could William Branham have a ministry, or come back to life to have a ministry under the tent behind the unknown language, with fewer crowds than what people saw in Branham Tabernacle and all over world? How could William Branham resuscitate after 1965 for a ministry of smaller appearance, far from the adorned Branham Tabernacle and far from immense crowds that followed him before his death and of all those conversions that his Message did cease operating worldwide? How could that be possible? The only way so that it may be possible, it is that he resuscitates under another human appearance or that the Spirit of Elijah which was on him comes back on another person to fulfill this ministry under the tent which comes behind an unknown language, far from the public shows. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
William Branham says that the Light left him, he says in the seventh seal: "and I seen that Light was talking to somebody above me". And even the only time when William Branham really mentioned the midnight Cry, he said: "… Let's get ready for this midnight cry. It's coming in a hour when you think not. There'll be a cry, not amongst the unbelieving world; it'll be a secret ." [Ref. 134 "The Uniting time and sign" on August 18, 1963, Branham-Tabernacle Jeffersonville USA]. He says: it will be a secret, that is to say: far from the big public shows. And also, in his vision of the tent in 1 Kings 19, the prophet Elijah called it: a soft gentle voice that is to say secret! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. Despite all that, branhamists passed all on. But the Bible also shows that branhamists had to act that way. You see? It is an old demon who acted in the time of Moses then in the time of Elijah and who was acting now on this branhamist posterity. Look at the time of every prophet and you will understand that all these pious branhamists are sons of the devil and it is the reason why they do not know that the ministry under the tent which they look for is here! Exactly as William Branham said that it will be! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen! "]. They know William Branham said that there will be a ministry under the tent but will it really take place and how will it be done, they know nothing about! I was told that when the question was put to pope Ewald Frank about this vision of the tent, he has not been able to answer? [Ed: See “the men ask questions … God answers by his Word” of Ewald Frank. Questions No.29 and 30]. He went round in circles! You see? Will there be a ministry under the tent or not? If there will not be, then William Branham walked in a false revelation for years. If there will be one then you are supposed to enlighten us on that! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. What is it of the unknown language? They do not know! What is it of this, what is it of that? They do not know it because they refused to progress and simply became a beast. And the spirit who said that William Branham would resuscitate on December 29, 1965 or April 10, 1966 and that filled them with unction on April 11, 1966 to the sound of Only Believe is not the Holy Spirit but the spirit of the fourth beast of Daniel 8, a demon! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen! "]. They have been marked with the seal of error on that Monday, April 11, 1966. And it is their understanding of the ministry under the tent which leads them to all this madness which lays at the basis of all these "ism". And if God had not hidden the body of Moses, these sons of the devil would have dragged his body everywhere because of a certain ministry under the tent! Oh brothers, isn’t it wonderful? I feel the infallible confirmation that, what I am saying is the exact truth! And in this very moment, the atmosphere here is spiritual. [Ed: the congregation says: "Amen!"]. Do you understand Jude verse 9 now? Why it is said in Jude verse 9 that Satan disputed Moses’ body? Joshua was there but the Jews were looking for Moses’ body because there were prophecies that Moses had to resuscitate to fulfill! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. That is why of two millions that they were, they all died over there except Joshua and Caleb! You see? Who were Satan's instruments to look for Moses’ body? Not Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites,… but the Jews, persons whom Moses had established over there, people on whom the Spirit of God had descended in Nbr 11 and who had prophesied before his face! You see?
Things which we should not explain for a branhamist to understand, I spent five years explaining it but they do not understand. And now when I look at them, I do not look at them simply as we look at a man but I look through them how a son of the devil is! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. Brothers, see them simply under Gal.1:8!... Cursed is whoever does not confess the ministry under the tent which comes behind the unknown language, far from the public shows! [Ed: the congregation says: "Amen!"]. Cursed is whoever does not listen to that "somebody else" to whom that Light was speaking above William Branham! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
Now let us take 1 Kings 19:15-16 … God says to Elijah: "and Jehovah said to him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus; and when thou comest, anoint Hazael king over Syria; and Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah shalt thou anoint prophet in thy stead." You see? God gives three missions to Elijah. Elijah has to anoint three people! Hazael, Jehu and Elisha! But out of three people, Elijah only anointed Elisha in 1 Kings 19:19. And in 2 Kings 2, Elijah is enraptured without having anointed Jehu and Hazael. What happened? Would Elijah have given a false prophecy? Can what was shown by God in a vision remain unaccomplished? A problem comes up! As for Moses and William Branham, the sons of prophets understand that the vision of the tent, the ministry under the tent in which Elijah has to anoint Jehu and Hazael is not fulfilled yet. What are they doing? They ask to Elisha to allow them to go in search of Elijah. What the sons of the devil have not been able to do with Moses’ body, they were going to do it with Elijah's body if God had taken him away! The mystery is that these sons of the devil who went in search of Elijah, they were not prophets of Baal nor priests of Baal-Zebud, Succoth-Benoth, Nergal, Ashima, Nibkaz, Tharthak and Adrammelech but real servants of God, humble and pious people called sons of prophets who walked with Elijah, the same people who said to Elisha by revelation that his master Elijah would be taken away. And the Bible says that they looked for Elijah everywhere for three days. Why do they look for Elijah? Because Elijah's vision indicated a ministry under the tent during which he would anoint Jehu and Hazael! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
It is the same problem that comes up today. Yet, in December 1972, exactly seven years after Elijah, Elisha, the fulfillment of this prophecy, was already on earth. Listen or read the preaching on the unknown language and tell me if God has to do another thing. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. You, arrogant and proud branhamists, full of guiles, tell me what the Bible says Matth.25:6 had to do and that I have not done?... To us, God said: don’t go down towards them, do not drink and do not eat with them but see the branhamists, this seed of the old prophet, as in 1 Kings 13 fraternizing with kings and priests of high places, eating and drinking with them. That is why you can listen in introduction of their cassette: "Zach.14.7 declares that there will be light in the evening time… hundreds of thousand prophecies which have never failed, not even once; a profound respect for the others, their practices and their beliefs". Ewald Frank can say that roman catholic, protestant and evangelical churches have a right of respect and existence. But we at midnight, we do not see things this way. We respect any life that God created, and we believe that all that God created has a right of respect and existence speaking of mankind, animals, even insects… but it is not God who created roman catholic, protestant, evangelical and branhamist churches [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. That is why we condemn them and that we do not call them brothers in Christ. It is because they have no right to exist that God prepared a fire for them. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. While accepting that Ewald Frank has the right to exist, it is of my duty to mistrust him because he can take me to hell if I do not pay attention and I can never have of profound respect for his practices and his beliefs, that is why I burn his brochures and circular letters. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
In Gen.12, in times of famine, God says to Abraham: "go down to Egypt to dwell there"! And a little later, in Gen.26, for the same famine of Word, the same God says to Isaac his son: "go not down to Egypt"! You see? I am going to read it in Gen.26 1-2: "And there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine which had been in the days of Abraham… And Jehovah appeared to him and said, Go not down to Egypt..."And in the vision of April 24, 1993, there was an eclipse and darkness all over the face of the earth. There was no Word anymore, no Light and no Truth all over the earth but when the Angel and the Lamb descended, the earth was illuminated again. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. The branhamists no longer understand God's vision because they have no prophet. They are in uncertainty. That is why they write to me from all over the world for … "Brother Philip, what do you think of Joseph Coleman? What do you think of Pierre Kas of DRC? What do you think of the seven thunders? What do you think of brother Richard Gan? What do you think of this? What do you think of that? What is it of this? What is it of that…". It is the same spirit of the pharisees before the Lord Jesus. They are uncertain but the certainty, it is not to know that this is that but to apply Hosea12:14, 2 Chr.20:20 and Jn.6:28 and to follow the prophet of one’s time. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"].
For us, no matter how clear this preaching is, it cannot make Vashti come because Vashti cannot come! [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. But if you believe that you are Esther or a son of God, wherever you are, in Asia, in Europe, in America or in Africa, you will know that William Branham has come back under another appearance, Under another name, fulfilling the vision of the tent behind an unknown language, far from the public shows as he said that he would do it. And you will say to all those who are around you: "we have seen his star!" [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. You see? Thank you God! Let’s stand up and sing "Only Believe!" [Ed: Brother Philip and the congregation sing: only believe].
